Press Release: Video Journalism Jurist explains what he's looking for

The International Video Journalism, the first global award of its kind and considered one of the most prestigious has picked former award recipient David Dunkley Gyimah as one of its judges.


The awards which honour excellence from video journalists from within and outside traditional media industries will stage its event in Mainz Germany in November.

Commenting on his appointment, Viewmagazine.tv's David Dunkley Gyimah says it's an honour and that he considers this year should be the best yet.

"We've seen an explosion in the discipline with different forms leading the way for real video story innovation".

"I think like most people who've worked in the format, I'll be looking out for work that inspires, tackles strong subjects and tries to move on the genre", says David.

The Call for entries continues until the 15th of October 2008. Winners will receive a cash prize and trophy.
